Pride and Glory

An authentic, gritty and emotional portrait of the New York Police Department. The film follows a multi-generational police family whose moral code is tested when a son on the strength incendiary considering a case involving his older brother and brother-in-law. The case forces the family to choose between their loyalty to each other and their loyalty to the ministry.

- O'Connor began writing the script in 1999 with his brother Greg O'Connor after completing Tumble Weeds. The brothers O'Connor wrote a story that was personal to both.
- O'Connor described their intention: "My father was a New York City detective, and I grew up in that world. It is a celebration of honest police, that was everything my father was about. Though it is fictional, it is a tribute to my father. "
- Actor Nick Nolte was originally cast to portray the father in a family of cops, but because of a chronic knee injury became too severe, he was replaced by Jon Voight in the role.
